Eleanor Roosevelt said "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." This is a great lesson to instill into your children and grandchildren. If you KNOW this from the time you're a little kid... it makes your life so much easier! I grew up as a chubby kid with the last name Small... my dad's friend gave me the nickname Big John Small. I could have let that bother me, but instead I just kinda went with it. Later in life when I started working in radio... I used the name on the radio and often I'd have people ask me what my REAL name is. Funny thing is... it was such a great nickname that people didn't realize it IS my real name! Just smile and move on!
