Greg White said “Leadership is not for everyone. Leadership is a lifestyle, not a position. Leadership is about those you lead, not who is leading.” So very true. I know leaders who are not in management.... and managers who are not leaders. Sometimes the people who are natural leaders don't WANT to be a manager. Sometimes they want to be a manager, but their manager is threatened by them so they keep them under their thumb. That's a very sad situation that happens far too often. These people often leave the company and become competitors. Keep them on your team!
