Aziz Ansari said "When I bet on horses, I never lose. Why? I bet on all the horses." I love that! Think about how hard it must be though to bet on ALL the horses! Sometimes in life we have to PICK our horses. It's not always easy, but we need to make choices. Some should be easy. If you struggle to choose between work and your family... someday you'll regret the decisions where the family does not win! Take that from experience. If you have to choose between working with two different clients... that can be a hard choice. Follow your heart and do what you feel is right. It would be great if we could always bet on all the horses, but we can't always do that!
