President John Quincy Adams said “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” Absolutely love that. I recently talked to a guy who has been turning down a leadership position in the company he's worked at for over a decade. He said “I don't want the responsibility”, but they keep asking him each time there's an opening because he's ALREADY a leader there... people look up to him and ask for his advice. The company wants to compensate him for that and give him a title! I told him he should try it to see if he likes being a manager, but with and agreement to come back to the current spot if it doesn't work out!
