Steve Blank said "People talk about getting lucky breaks in their careers. I'm living proof that the 'lucky breaks' theory is simply wrong. You get to make your own luck. ... The world is run by those who show up ... not those who wait to be asked." I love this. I've been told, numerous times, about how lucky I've been in life. I've never bought into that theory. I've been more of a fan of the “if you work 80 hours a week... something's got to eventually work out” theory. Sadly, I've leaned on that one a little too much, but I love what I get to do for a living, so I often find myself working more than anyone has ever expected of me. I think that works too!
