Plato said “Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.” Sad, but true! This is one of the reasons many people cite for not restricting law-abiding citizens to protect themselves. It's an issue that absolutely has two sides. BOTH SIDES think they're right, and I'm not here to tell you that your opinion is wrong. It's YOUR opinion after all, but think about how we could possibly enforce any law to a group of people who do not obey laws. That's the big unanswered question that keeps this topic alive for generations. Nobody on EITHER side has that answer.
