In 1923, a 40 year old Franz Kafka saw a girl who was crying in a park in Berlin because she had lost her favorite doll. Together they searched for the doll unsuccessfully. The next day, they met up again and he gave her a letter "written" by the doll saying "please don't cry. I took a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures." More letters would come in from adventures around the world... and one day Kafka surprised her with a doll. The girl noted that it looked different. A letter explained "my travels have changed me." the little girl hugged the new doll. Kafka died soon after. Many years later the girl found another letter INSIDE the doll... signed by Kafka it was written: "Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way."
