Jimmy Stewart said “I think one day you'll find that you're the hero you've been looking for.” I love that. First of all, I'm a fan of Jimmy Stewart, not only as an actor, he was amazing, but as a person! He was a pilot before World War 2. When the US got involved, Jimmy Stewart was already a big star. He would have easily been allowed to help the war effort without going to war. Instead he insisted that he put his pilot skills to use. He did it well and won awards. When he returned to Hollywood, one of his first films was “It's a Wonderful Life”, there's a scene where he has a breakdown. That was not acting. That was PTSD, back then they called it shell-shock. He was a hero!
