Peter Schutz said "Hire character. Train skill." I agree with this 100%! I've worked with people who were absolutely natural born sellers! They required some minor training, but they were so comfortable helping people, it seemed like that was just what they were born to do! I've also worked with people who were a natural when it came to broadcasting. They spoke elegantly and effortlessly and seem to be in their element, even with little or no training. But, I've also met people who have a degree from a prestigious school, but they lack the skills and ability to do the job. And I've encountered people of low moral character. Even with the best training, can you trust them? Then why hire them?
