Booker T. Washington said "If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else." I love this quote. I've believed in this concept for my whole life. When I was a little boy, I would do my best to cheer up my two brothers and three sisters. I'm a middle child. I learned very early on that it felt good to make other people happier. If I could get my brothers to laugh, something in my brain had a little party. If I could make my sisters laugh, another party in my mind, but the true test was to get my dad to laugh. It happened a few times, and it was an amazing feeling. My mom would laugh it my silly stuff all the time and she still does!
