Thomas Edison said "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." I used to think this was a weird way to look at things, but then I worked for a guy named Jim. He encouraged me to see as many people as I could each day for an entire week. He told me to ask for a yes, but if I didn't get it, to tell the client that it's OK to say no. I had been getting a bunch of “maybe's” that would eventually become a no. He said “Remember that every no is one no closer to a yes” So I went from being able top see an average of 8 to 10 people each day to some days with 25 stops. I'd get 22 no's and 3 people who would say yes!
