Jeff Bezos said “If you double the number of experiments you do per year, you’re going to double your inventiveness.” This is so true. A little over twenty years ago I took a job as a sales manager at a group of radio stations in Nebraska. We had five stations and twenty sales people. I tried to get them all to go out to see more people... that's more opportunities to say yes! To create more time, I took away some of the things they had to each day. Things they didn't like to do anyway. It created about an extra hour for 20 people... that's like hiring two additional salespeople. We watched the number of calls go up, closely followed by the number of sales and the number of happy people. The clients were happy because they were getting more business and the salespeople were happy because they were making more money!
