Sandra Day O'Connor said "Do the best you can in every task, no matter how unimportant it may seem at the time. No one learns more about a problem than the person at the bottom." I love this advice. I've done this my whole life. I sure think I have anyway. I spend time working on stupid little details that most people will not even notice. We did a big event a few weeks ago, and my wife pointed out that most of the stuff I brought along was probably not needed. I actually agreed about some of it and I let those things go, after a few years of wondering myself. Sometimes the little things DO make a difference. I feel like the details can make or break the success of an event. When setting up an event, I've spent more time on a backdrop, than some spend on a whole show. It's because I want it to look a certain way, and it works!
