Simon Sinek said “When the incentives offered prioritize growth over stability, we successfully build large, unstable organizations.” Very true. I have noticed some things in very large companies and some government entities that always bothered me. There are systems in place to make a budget, get it approved, then spend every cent. If you don't spend everything this year, it's going to cost you in the budget next year. WHAT?! So, if you're able to save the company money, or the government entity, then they penalize you? Shouldn't they reward those who find ways to save money? They don't. It's so weird to me. We're a small company. Here we celebrate when we find ways to save money. I'm not going to penalize anyone for helping in that mission. I've only worked in a company with that stance one time. It was weird!
