Andy Warhol said "You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you." I love this. Sometimes this can be hard too. If you're not excited about the silly little details of your job, find a way to make those things a little bit more exciting to you. I used to be a wedding DJ and the fun part was the actual wedding dance, but the set up and tear down were things I had to do each time, so I made up a little song that I'd sing when I was plugging things in and setting things up. It made it a little less monotonous. It was absolutely a silly little song, but it somehow made me smile and it made the setup time go by faster. If you have to do something on a regular basis, that doesn't thrill you, find a way to make that thing a little bit more fun to you!
