J.K. Rowling said "Never be ashamed! There's some who will hold it against you, but they are not worth bothering with." Her story amazes me. Did you know that she chose the JK portion of her name because she didn't necessarily want people to know she was a woman. Then when she submitted the first Harry Potter book to a publisher... it was rejected. So she went to another publisher... they also passed on the book. Eventually she would find a publisher, but there were TWELVE other publishers who turned her down first. Imagine how dumb those twelve publishers feel now! If you're not aware... JK Rowling's net worth is about a billion dollars!
