I worked at a station with a special piece of software from the early 1990s... when I worked there over a decade later, they were still using this software, then saving the file on a big floppy disk, transferring it on a different computer from that to a smaller hard disk, then to the final computer where it would be posted to the internet. I watched this bizarre process, then asked. Can I just type it in the last computer instead? The said “We don't have that program on that computer” I pointed out that we didn't NEED that program anyway! Two computers were retired that day!
