Sam Levenson said "Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going." I love that. I've never been a “clock watcher”... but my wife and I started our own company in 2010. When we brought on a team of people, we had a guy who would pull into the parking lot a little before 8am... he would sit in his car until exactly 8... then he would tidy up his office starting at about 4:45... and walk out at exactly 5pm. I told him... you don't need to worry about the time... I come in early and leave late. He said “but you own the company” I replied that's WHY we own the company. I did that for others my whole career... and eventually that led to my family doing our own thing!
