There's a great anonymous quote that says “I'm not interested if you've stood with the great. I'm interested if you've sat with the broken.” I agree. I've spent time with some pretty amazing people, some of these people are household names... famous musicians and entertainers... but those who I've probably learned the most from are people you've never heard of. On a few occasions, I've given a ride to a stranger. I had a chance to hear about their struggles. The most memorable was a guy walking in a rainstorm. I gave him a ride to the police station so he could turn himself in. That was an interesting ride!
