Ernest Hemingway said “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility lies in being superior to your former self.” What a great quote! Many people like to compete with other people... but I like the idea of comparing myself to myself... to see how much I have grown. I recently heard a comedy set that I did about five years ago. At the time I thought it was pretty good. Now I hear so much room for improvement. I record my comedy sets so I can listen back... but discovered the further away from the recording... the more interesting it is for me. I can appreciate how far I've come... and hope that continues!
