Nate Miller said “Don't focus on who will show up in your life to help you, focus on who you will help by showing up in their life.” I love this. I have several friends who are performers. Whether in a band or a stand up comic. They put themselves out there often. I had one who was kind of complaining that... as he put it... “the others don't support him by going to his shows”. I apologized that I had not been to more shows myself, then I asked him. “How often do you go to THEIR shows?” He had a bit of a blank look. I think we found the problem. Be there for them... they'll probably be there for you more often!
