Desi Arnaz said “Everyone seemed to be doing well except me and my career. And my accent was no helping me any.” I love this. First of all... I think I need to explain that our family has watched every episode of “I Love Lucy” at least once, but probably many of them at least three or four times. When our daughter was in elementary school, she discovered Lucile Ball and she fell in love with her TV show. It was pretty cool to see a young person enjoy a show that was popular when her great grandmother was her age. There were some fun lessons learned and some things have certainly changed over the years, but that show still holds up. And yes Desi, your accent was unique. I actually liked it!
