Babe Ruth said "Yesterday's home runs don't win today's games." What a great quote. I think I saw this on a poster a while back… and it belongs on a poster and t-shirts! So many times we try to use our past wins to blaze a trail for the future, but the future wins require new effort. I worked with a guy who never had two good months back to back. He would have an amazing sales month, then the next month was terrible. After that he would work hard again and have an amazing month, only to follow it up with another stinker. He could have used the poster on HIS wall! He would do well then spend a month celebrating the win, only to feel the pain of loss. Then the cycle started over. Don’t do that… please!
