Paulo Coelho said "Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience" Excellent quote. I've been blessed to have started working at a very young age. I had more on the job experience by the time I was 20, than most people have by the time they're 30. That advantage in my career, led me to the front of the line for every job I wanted. I was blessed to beat out people with far more education, but I had far more experience. I remember applying for a management position where I knew one of the other candidates. I thought he would get the position for sure. In the end, they selected me. I'm sure it was due to my experience, I think he was a far better candidate!
