John F. Kennedy said "The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining." I love this... it is so true! I was at an event that was already happening when we got there. It was at this time that they were making some pretty important plans for the event. I was thinking “why didn't they think of this BEFORE the event?” I understand that sometimes things come up that you were not planning for, but this one was a thing that everyone should have been ready for... but they were not ready. I actually offered to help! I gave some advice, based on how we do this simple thing at an event I host each year. They looked at me like I just invented the alphabet! They were thankful and amazed at this advice. I walked away laughing on the inside, because it was something I thought was pretty simple, but was overlooked. So my advice is, plan in advance!
