Steve Jobs said "You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." What a great quote. My wife and I have very much been a fan of this kind of thinking too. There have been times that we made a decision to steer clear of something. It looked good, sometimes even too good to be true, but something didn't feel right. Then that something became very apparent, we looked back with grateful hearts that we did not jump into that mess. Oh, don't get me wrong. I've stepped into many a mess, one that was HUGE. It resulted in a three and a half year legal battle, a four day JURY trial. It took the jury about two minutes to find in our favor! I will also admit that my wife wanted to avoid that one as well. But I told her it would be OK. I was wrong.
