Douglas Adams said "I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be." What a cool quote. If you asked me where I intended to go and where I ended up, these are miles apart. I may have mentioned this before, but as a kid, I used to watch Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. I was 100% certain that I wanted to do THAT! I wanted to be on Saturday Night Live, then host the Tonight Show, so officially, Jimmy Fallon is living the dream of an 8 year old John Small. Now that I'm fifty, you could not pay me enough to do either of those jobs! I do not want to live in New York City or Los Angeles. I think I found the perfect compromise though. I get my radio show as an outlet to do interviews with interesting people, and I'm a stand up comic, so that's like doing the monologue, and I can do it all from right here!
