J.J. Abrams said "Mystery is the catalyst for imagination ... What are stories besides mystery boxes?" This was in his TED Talk. (link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpjVgF5JDq8) Much of the talk is about his grandfather. That is who opened JJ's mind to things. He would take things apart to show him how it all worked. They would peek inside a radio to see the inner workings. It's how JJ discovered his interest in learning and magic and eventually film making. This gift that his grand father gave him has been received by millions, as we watch the movies that were made from the mind of JJ Abrams. That mind was young and fertile and his grandfather planted and nurtured a thirst for creativity and doing creative things. It's been a gift to humanity, thank you grandpa!
