John F. Kennedy said "All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words, 'Ich bin ein Berliner.'" This was a famous speech that some have mocked, but I see the beauty in this. He was saying that we're all in this together. It was a hug to humanity. There are many people visiting the USA for their first time, for the world cup events. It's been an eye opener for people who have been told how bad the USA is. They are discovering that most of the people they meet are pretty amazing. They have fallen in love with America. I saw a video with a group of world cup tourists who were saying “we are all now Americans” and I love that. It is another hug to humanity, but this is different. It is being done on a grassroots level. It's just regular people who are making the world better.
