John Adams said "I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival." He was right too. Hopefully you enjoyed your celebration over the weekend. John Adams thought we would be celebration the 2nd of July, not the 4th of July. The date they declared their independence was July 2, 1776. July 4th was when the document text was formally adopted by the Continental Congress. They didn't actually sign it that day. Most of them signed, just after John Hancock on August 2nd, but some were later, the last was Thomas McKean, he signed way later, potentially in 1781. These 56 men took a stand to find a better way, one that did not involve a king! They found it too. 250 years later, I'm still lovin' it! Is this the perfect system? Probably not, but it's the best system I know of and it's working well!

YOU CAN WEAR YOUR PATRIOTISM ON YOUR SLEEVE! We love this so much! John actually has pair #1!
