Joseph Campbell said “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” I love that. Thanks for the quote Corey! I have known many heroes in my lifetime. Some are brave people who do something heroic and EVERYONE sees them as a hero. That's probably the most commonly thought of TYPE of hero. But there are other more low key heroes. People who spend an extra hour keeping a business open so neighborhood kids have a place to wait for their parents after school. Someone who works every holiday so others can spend time with their families. A hero is a person with that special love for people around them.
